Modern Africa: Politics, History and Society
Modern Africa: Politics, History, and Society is a no-fee open-access peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Philosophical Faculty, University of Hradec Králové, Czech Republic under auspices of Czech Association for African Studies. Published in English, the journal makes accessible original texts covering important political, social and historical themes concerning Africa. Its editorial policy encourages an interdisciplinary approach, involving the humanities and social sciences, including political studies, history, sociology, anthropology, gender studies, environmental and development studies, etc.
Modern Africa: Politics, History and Society is published twice a year. Each issue includes the following sections: Research articles, Reports, and Reviews. The journal is indexed and abstracted in Scopus, the European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH Plus), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and Ebsco Sociology Source. The journal is archived at web archive of National Library of the Czech Republic (www.webarchiv.cz).

Historia Aperta
Historia Aperta je odborný recenzovaný časopis věnovaný výzkumu v oblasti historie se zaměřením na české země a (středo)evropský prostor.
Časopis vydává Univerzita Hradec Králové dvakrát ročně v elektronické i tištěné podobě. Periodikum navazuje na tradici časopisu Východočeské listy historické založeného roku 1996, který si během několika let našel své místo mezi odbornými historickými časopisy České republiky.
