Author Biographies

Michael Hauhs, University of Bayreuth

Professor at University of Bayreuth. His research field is forest growth models, catchment models and hydrological modeling, information and complexity of environmental time series, and categorical theory in ecological modelling.

Georg Klute, University of Bayreuth

Member of the International Advisory Board of Modern Africa. He is a full professor at Bayreuth University, Germany, where he teaches social and cultural anthropology. His research interests are political anthropology, nomadic studies, and human relations with their environment.
