Author Biography

Vojtěch Šmolík, Philosophical Faculty, University of Hradec Kralove, The Czech Republic

Vojtěch Šmolík is a postgraduate student at the Department of Politics in the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Hradec Králové (UHK). After graduating in Political Science and International Relations at Charles University, Prague, he acquired his masters in Political Science – African Studies at the UHK. He is the author of non-fiction articles on contemporary African issues, a policy paper on EU-Africa relations, and academic articles about post-conflict reconstruction in Rwanda. Scientifically, he focuses on development, education, post-conflict reconstruction and intra-state conflicts in Central and East Africa. He conducted field research in Rwanda on the role of education in post-conflict societies in 2017. In addition, he has been working for several NGOs in the field of development and humanitarian aid both in the Czech Republic and in Africa. E-mail: vojtech.smolik@uhk.cz.
