Author Biography

Sjoerd Zanen, MDF Training & Consultancy-affiliate, Ede, The Netherlands

He obtained his PhD at Leiden University with a thesis on the cultural dimension of development (1996). As bilateral expert for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs he worked in rural development programmes in South Sudan, Burkina Faso, and Mali.
